Ode to a Kiss

By March 5, 2021Poetry

Sweet and dark; the memories stir desire

For lips pressed hard against a taste divine.

Wicked pleasures hidden will inspire

Remorseless acts beyond safe passion’s line.

Your sensuous curves bring pleasure to my eye.

I slowly reach against all cautious thought

As though another hungered here, not I.

As though I’m forced to touch a thing not sought.

Your garb falls free beneath my fingers’ press.

I peel your wrapping off with tender caring

Committed now, I fear, till final rest,

I thrust you in with full, abandoned daring.

You melt within my hotly-tongued embrace—

My blessed chocolate, kissed with Hershey’s grace.
